WORKSHOPS – The 2018 festival fundraiser weekend featured workshops in flamenco song and dance with guest artist Stephanie Pedraza.
PERFORMANCE – We took a break from our fundraiser flamenco performance but there was still an evening of live music with Stephanie Pedraza on December 1st. Did you know that apart from being a flamenco dancer and singer, Stephanie is also a singer/songwriter? Her original musical compositions are an honest reflection of her rich latin-american background, her experience growing up in Cali-Colombia and a perfect blend of traditional latin rhythms, root, rock, pop as well as English and Spanish lyrics. She performed a non-flamenco acoustic evening at Cafe Blackbird here in Edmonton on December 1st with a portion of the proceeds going to support our festival.
