Family Day Flashmob!

Our first 2018 flashmob appearance!  The festival flashmob popped up twice downtown on Monday, February 19th as part of Family Day events. These pop-ups included guitar, song, rhythmic clapping, and dance. Participants took on various roles throughout the afternoon. (scroll down for more pictures of the day’s events)

  • Festival favourite Stephanie Pedraza for creating and teaching this years flashmob tientos-tangos choregraphy and cante
  • Flashmob Coordinator Jen Dunford for her brilliant and extensive organizing of classes, rehearsals, and pop-up appearances
  • Carmen Locke, Jen Dunford, Jim Findlay, Jolene Yuen-Jung, and Julie Trohimchuk for their work leading our flashmob classes and rehearsals for new participants
  • all the flashmobbers that came out to participate in our Family Day events

  • City Centre Mall, the EAC, the City of Edmonton, and Sugar Swing, for allowing us to pop by
